for everyone

D.C. and New York, New York

I haven't updated ever since I arrived here in the East Coast (alone). But this is the first time I've had internet accesss in the last two weeks. I am currently in Manhattan College (in the heart of the BRONX) And now that the conference is about to draw to a close, I wanna share everything that's kept my mind spinning and my heart (haha chummy!) longing for home in the last two weeks. I'll add insights soon.

Washington D.C.

My week in Washington was (if I were to put in more concisely) "Educational". Everything began here and as soon I a stepped into the Sheraton, I knew I had to raise the bar (being newly 15 ). I knew I would stand out (being one of the sparsely distributed black-haired and no more than 4'11 tall people) and I meant that it would take a lot of extra effort from me if I wanted to make a difference. As far as the site Visits were, being the BIG THREE: *Korean wars, Lincoln and Vietnam Veterans memorial; Thomas Jefferson Memorial; The Holocaust Museum, the SMITHSONIAN and so many others after that, I left the landmarks thinking: How in the world can I impart this to my countrymen at the same time elevate their Patriotism? Left unaswered. As for the BIGGER 5, The White House, The Capital State Building, The Department of State, The Embassy of Iceland (I don't know why either) and the IMF felt like a bombardment of everything and anything diplomatic. Again, being 15, this was all new to me. Too new for me to handle all in one week. Not too long after, GYLC departed the Sheraton for New York.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK

Where I currently am. My stay here isn't exactly complete. But as far as it's going, it's even MORE than I'd ever ask for. Yesterday, we had our own slice of the BIG APPLE. Roaming freely through TIME SQUARE after a Broadway showing of (my first Broadway show) Tarzan the Musical and an enthralling ride all the way to the top of the Empire State Building. That's as much as I can say for now.

Id've added more. But I'm all out of time.

Till my next entry :D

I miss everyone.
